Kathy Shattler has been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for over 25 years. She lives in a small, mid-western town with her husband and two cats. A published writer, she is devoted to the health sciences and writes extensively about nutrition and chronic disease. Academically, she holds a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition and has done post-graduate work in the Nutrition Sciences. She has worked in hospitals, nursing homes, public health departments and for the State of Michigan where she worked as a Health Facility Surveyor and a WIC Program Manager. Prior to her status as a full-time freelance writer, she ran a thriving telehealth wellness clinic where she saw clients who wanted to lose weight, lower their blood sugar, normalize their liver, and improve their overall health.
