Many people shy away from the Paleo diet because of its limiting qualities and “caveman diet” reputation. But the truth is that eating Paleo means eating food in its natural and unprocessed form. It’s not as restrictive as some people think and is a healthy option for most people. It incorporates healthy fats, proteins and spices as well as fruits and vegetables. The diet does avoid sugars, artificial ingredients, legumes, grains and dairy. - The diet is high in proteins including meat, poultry, fish and eggs
- The diet also provides the body with healthy fats since one can cook with olive oil, avocado oil and similar cooking oils
